This entry was posted on Thursday, September 26th, 2019 at 2:00 pm The Man in the Glass When you get what you want in your struggle for self and the world makes you king for a day Just go to the mirror and look at yourself and see what that man has to say For it isn’t your father or mother or wife who judgment upon you must pass The fellow whose verdict counts the most in your life is the one staring back from the glass Some people may think you a straight-shooting chum and call you a wonderful guy But the guy in the glass says you’re only a bum if you can’t look him straight in the eye He’s the fellow to please never mind all the rest for he’s with you clear up to the end And you’ve passed your most dangerous difficult test if the man in the glass is your friend You may fool the whole world down the pathway of life and get pats on the back as pass But your final reward will be heartaches and tears if you’ve cheated the man in the glass.

(ALL) LeBron James spends $1.5 million on………………………….

This entry was posted on Wednesday, August 21st, 2019 at 7:57 pm A few years back, the greatest NBA player in the league today shared that he spends approximately $1.5 million on taking care of his body (i.e. self-care). People were shocked at the amount of money, but in actuality this is a small percentage of his financial total. Now, the reality is that the majority of us do not have the type of money that LeBron James has, but it does bring up a good question? How much money do I invest in my self-care? When you go to school for psychology, one of the first things that they tell you is about self-care. If you don’t take care of yourself, how can you help others? That is the basic mantra, but the reality is that the majority of us don’t take care of ourselves enough. I am definitely not a person that is well-versed in how cars run and what makes them tick. I do know though that we have to put gas in the car, get the oil changed, and……………from time to time have to get a tune-up. Goog

(All) Everything is kicking my ass

This entry was posted on Monday, August 12th, 2019 at 6:21 pm I know it’s probably just me (sarcasm assumed), but I can get into a place easily where it just feels like everything is going against me. Shoot, if I were being honest, I can get into a place where literally EVERYTHING is not going against me, but even when something good happens I make an excuse (I was lucky, it was a mistake, etc.). So, the question is: How do I begin to shift the course when the negative momentum seems to be all I have? First off, how do I get some wins (Short-Term Wins). This is vital, as the idea is that if you can begin to get some wins this will offset the negative momentum. Once we get enough short-term wins, we can begin to change the momentum. Lastly, once the momentum shifts, now we are no longer making excuses for positive things happening and creating a flow. When I am in that place where everything seems to suck, stick to some bullet points: 1)       Recognize the need for Short-Term Wins. 2)
